give details about grandpa's idea
do a pronoun paper to identify referent pronouns found in chapter 3

Chapter 4. read p. 28-35
list details of a cattle drive or things about cowboys
describe the place they stopped for lunch

Chapter 5. read p. 36-48
describe the farm
tell about the family history
what did grandpa teach Justin ... make a list

Chapter 6. read p. 49-57
explain what happened as they "rode the fence."

Chapter 7. read p. 58-68
list the names of the Black cowboys (find a book in your library to further research)
tell something about each one
