we are starting our garden this week in my second grade class, does anyone have a template for a plant journal for us to keep our peogress in? I want something they can write and draw a picture in of the plants.

I had a journal I used that I've been trying to locate but haven't yet
Check out this web page for an example of one seed journal & other planting ideas. The page has good discussion questions too.

I'll post my journal when I find it.

Hi kel. my belle! I don't know if you can use this... i made it years ago and haven't used it since. Maybe you could change it or cut pieces out of it. It will look out of order because it's meant to be printed, somehow put back to back and then folded and stapled together like a book. (so the first page is blank)

Are you making your garden outside? How fun!

I found it! Some of the last pages could be put in another order, if you want.

I changed the fonts so I could post it here but if you go to the following website:

http://www.fontface.com/fonts/b.html

You can download a free font called "bamboo" and works great for a plant journal!!

If you look around, there are many other great fonts to be used for classroom projects (ex. ropes for cowboy theme, flowers, hearts, conversation hearts, handprints, pawprints, cookie dough, snowmen, etc.) It's a great FREE resource!

are incredible! They really take the seed through an entire cycle - you just keep planting the little seeds that you harvest ane they keep on growing! Kids really like this project and it takes up very little room. It's kind of like Hallmark - the gift that keeps on giving!
