Clip to ScrapBook #1

We are starting this book this week to go along with our study of the underground railroad and the Civil War. Would love to know what other people do with this book. I plan on doing some journal entries from different character's points of view and on tracking the conflict and changes that Laura goes through in the book. Would love to know other ideas that you all do in your class. Thanks.

Clip to ScrapBook #2

I do this book as a read aloud, and I always show the class the pictures of the actual house. If you search on google for Freedom Crossing & Lewiston, there is a webpage done by Historic Lewiston (I think) that has pictures of the Tryon's Folly house, the series of basements, the view of Canada, as well as as other pictures & facts of the town & Underground Railroad, as they relate to the book.
