What about the picture books about Johnny Appleseed or Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox? They are pretty exaggerated.

I use "Heat Wave" by Helen Ketterman (sp?) I think some of her other books may use hyperbole too, not sure. Also check around, hyperbole was a topic a few days (a week?) ago I think on this board. IF not check other nearby grade levels or the reading board. It was somewhere, I swear!
