Does anyone have a template for a state project brochure? My teammate a I are trying to get one organized for the students to work on for the last couple weeks of School. We have a list of ideas, but are unsure how everything should be laid out.

Do you use a rubric to grade yours?

If you have Microsoft Office Professional you can open Publisher. They have a variety of brochure templates that you can use. If not look on www.microsoftoffice.com they have the templates too.

Did you try looking in abcteach? They have different forms to use for state resports.

I used this with sixth graders. It was pretty effective.

Thanks for all the good sites with info. I was able to create my own template. I will try to remember to attach it when I am at school on Monday. Maybe someone else can use it too!

I am attaching the template that I am using for our state brochure. I copied the sheets back to back and the flap that has the state name and picture is the front of the brochure.

In my geography class in college, we had to make state brochures. Whatever state I chose, that is what the shape of the state was. I don't know if each student is working on a different state. But what you could do was find the outline of each state, put it on cardboard and have the kids trace it on construction paper.

Thanks for the great idea of having them make the brochure in the shape of the state. We have already started our brochures, but next year I will try that idea out.
