I am really wanting to do a theme next year in my second grade class. I am switching to a brand new school and feel this is a great chance to do this. Right now in my school my class is the spiders because my last name is webber! All teachers have an animal relating to their last name. I woulod like to continue to do spiders but unsure how. Any other theme ideas too will be greatly appreciated.
a teacher I know made a huge (probably 4' X 4') frame from PVC pipe and used clothesline to make a web. She uses it for just decoration sometimes but then uses it to display student work or other stuff just by clipping the papers to the rope with clothespins. She has a large inflatable spider that sits in the upper left hand corner. They rest of the room has a jungle feel with other insects displayed but less prominently.
