My students/ partents love the FROGs.
Here is a website that will answer many of your questions.
teachingheart.net/moosebooks.html
I tried to respond to you once sorry if you get this a second time.

I also use Nickyfolders in my FROGs. They are plastic and really hold up. In fact we are using the same folders two years in a row...a looping classroom.

Hope this helps.

Moose binders

I use a MOOSE binder in my classroom which stands for Makes Organizing Our Schoolwork Easy. I love it and so do my parents. It has been extremely helpful in keeping my kids organized and when the parents send something into school, it is always in the same place. I will send you what I use if I can figure out how to do that. I use a nicky folder in the back of my binder ( I just hole punch it so it is the last part of my binder) for a homework folder. The rest of my sections are: a pencil case in the front for any field trip money or lunch money being sent into school. important notes-these are notes sent home or notes sent back to school, parent communication- loose leaf paper for writing back and forth, calendar(in clear page protector)-school year calendar on one side and monthly calendar on the other, specials list and birthday list in another clear page protector and then the nicky folder for homework.
It works great!

How do you stick the Nicky folder in your frog? Do you punch holes in the folder? We will be getting these folders and I am very interested in using the frog/moose notebooks, but can not think of how to merge the two. I don't want parents to have to worry about the folder and notebook separately.

A Nicky folder is a durable folder that has two pockets. One pocket says stay at home. The other says return to school. They are really long-lasting, so a lot of schools are using them. You can go to this website for more information and to order: www.nickysfolders.com

I just put a simple folder for homework inside the folder. It rarely falls out and makes getting the folder out easy. It also is easier to put papers inside without the holes. Love the Moose...

BTW This is sort of funny. I have a few teachers who resist organization. They refuse to use the moose/frog folders. One of the parents in this one teacher's classroom made a binder for her child to keep her organized after she heard how my parents love the Moose.

Go to www.letteringdelights.com and do a search for frogs. There is a couple of different fonts that have frogs with each letter. Very cute! This is the company that I got my fonts from for my Frog binders. PM me and I will try to send you my cover.

Tip: Don't buy the font right away if you can wait. Every couple of months they do dollar days and all the fonts are $1.00!!!

I hole punch my folders into my moose binders. They are always in the same place. I don'[t have a problem with getting our homework papers in them.
