I love teddy bears. I think they make my classroom more inviting. I have several stuffed animals in my room, have put a country colored plaid material on my bulletin boards.. i have a red, green, and blue. I also have an old timey desk in my room where a very large bear sits.
Here is what I think I need: Some bulletin boards for the door and wall outside my room.. I need a book that I can use to blow up bears and trace them on paper and color with chalks... I have looked online for pictures, but am getting frustrated... any suggestions? I am going to post a pic of the bears I really like...mostly I just like cute...
I love bears too and have done a bear themed room and even had a Winnie the Pooh theme too. I loved your comment "Mostly I just like cute." Me too!!!! and I think the kids do too! : ) The bear you attached was precious! Don't you wish you could just print him out as is but big enough to display?
I LOVE DJ Inkers bears! DJ Inkers sell precious bear bulletin board sets in school supply stores or online but they also sell graphics too that you could either just print and use or print and blow up large and color. Look on DJInkers.com and see if you like anything.
Many graphic web pages have free web sets that have precious bears. Have you goggled bear graphics?
I will be on the lookout for bear graphics for you too. Let us know what you find : ) AND send pictures please of your completed room! : )
I have one bulletin board that has Corduroy, Brother Berenstain Bear, Winnie the Pooh, and Little Bear holding their book jackets. The caption says, "Find a Friend in a Book". For my bulletin board outside my room in the hall, one year I used pictures of Baloo, from Jungle Book. I used three big pictures of him dancing in different poses. I used the caption, "Dancing into First Grade". Then I made little bears to put the kids' names on and put them all around the pictures of Baloo. At Halloween, I made little bears to decorate the room, and cut out costumes for them to wear, like paper dolls. One was a ghost, one a mummy, one wore an Indian headress, you get the idea. You can also use the "Have a Beary Good Year" caption, but that's a little over-used. Another year, I had a picture of a polar bear leaning against an igloo with the caption, "Have a cool year!" I put the kids' names on little polar bears.
Have fun! I hope this helps.
Oh I just LOVE those teddy bear drawings. Where did you find that one at? I never know where to find things.
DJ Inkers (djinkers.com) also has a lot of adorable teddy bear clipart and she has some nice bulletin boards and decorations.
Our school supply store has several sets of bulletin boards featuring....BEARS. They are so cute! There is one that I bought with the bear snuggling up to read. There is also one who looks as if he is in a clubhouse (I bought that one to put on my door--our school mascot is a bear).
I don't know what the company is because I'm at home. Here is a pic of the one I use in my reading library area.
This link http://www.djinkers.com/product.php?...cat=758&page=1 has the DJ Inkers bear opening a window shutter ...very cute! If you explore the site, you'll find quite a few adorable bears in great poses and settings...I used one of the CDs when I taught Kindergarten and loved all of the animals!
