Happy face decorating

Our theme for this school year is a happy face with the acronym H.A.P.P.Y. - Have A Perfect Productive Year; anyone have any ideas to share with happy faces, decorations, bulletin boards, t-shirts, pictures, etc.
Any ideas appreciated!
PS: Have a Happy 2008-2009 year!

Saying...

One of my favorite sayings that I have posted in my classroom is Smile ~ It's Contagious! I challenge them every year to see how many people they can get to smile just by smiling at them without saying anything. They never believe it works, but are amazed when they realize it actually does!

You can allow the students to decorate their own happy face and put it on a diecut of a car on a road and call it "Mrs. ______'s Miles of Smiles".

Happy face beach balls

I had kids autograph happy face beachballs at the end of the year. You could have goals written on them or just use them for a display in a common area

Suezie,
The idea about goals is another one we will use. We write goals every year and use this is a way to measure our progress!

More Smile ideas

I am using the SMILE theme in my classroom this year. For my character education, I am using the acronym for SMILES - Somebody Made It Look Extra Special. I created SMILES tickets that the kids can use to nominate a friend who does something extra special. The tickets go into a Smile Box and I will draw out a few names on Friday to receive a little prize (Oriental Trading has tons of smiley face stuff). My bulletin board for artwork is going to say, "Face it - This is Great Work!" Does anyone have any ideas for a clever name for my weekly newsletter? Thanks.
