Bee Theme

I am also doing bees as my theme. I am probably going to do a bee hive bulletin board that said "Welcome to Mrs. _____ class. It's the Best Place to "Bee"! I thought I would make the hive 3-D by stuffing the paper or fabric to make it stand out a little bit. I saw tons of ideas by typing in Bee Theme in the search box on the PT site. Hope this helps. Let me know what you come up with!

A friend of mine took a plastic flower pot and turned it upside down. She then wrapped it with rope (brown burlap type). She then placed a few bees sticking out all over it. It was the cutest thing. Not really for your door, but I thought this was a cute idea.

You could have "Welcome to the Hive" and draw a large bee-hive on yellow posterboard and cut it out. Then, put the student names on bees around the hive.

Attached is a hive template:

How about a play on words?

"Hive" been Waiting for You!
Put your face on a bee (Queen Bee?) then add pictures of the children on other little bees buzzing around a hive.

If you wanted at least 1 3d bee, you could get a styrofoam ball, cut it in half and paint it. Not sure just how you'd do wings though??

I found some wooden craft bees at the Dollar Tree. They had 2 different sizes. I bought both and painted them. I am thinking about hot gluing some to a wreath for my door.

I am doing bees also and I have Buzz on in on my door. My groups are also names of bees: hornets, wasps, honeybees, yellowjackets, and bumblebees
