Do any of you know of some classroom pictures of a bee theme. Or website that might have them? I am wanting to do this theme for my class this year. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Also Moose book title for BEES.

I have a bee theme

I don't have any pics, but here are some of the things I have:

BEE books (Bring Everything Everyday)

Job board (hard working hive) each job is a hive and the bees have kids names on them

Welcome Board: Look who's luck to BEE in first grade! A large bee has a talking bubble with this in it...then I bent paperclips and attached them to the back of bees (kids names on them) and stuck them into my bulletin board for a 3-D effect

My teacher's aide found a big cute mylar bee balloon...I let the air out of it when it was sagging and put it on the wall

My student of the week is King/Queen Bee

You might also want to visit www.teachersclubhouse.com and they have some printable things for a bee theme

Aside from those things, I use bee stickers everywhere. This year my kids have 5 different folders, each a different color...so I am going to label them (red folder = math, typed in red) and then I bought colored bee stickers and will put a red bee by the word.

Honey Maid makes bee shaped graham crackers that I give out on the first day of school

I have seen either on Target or Wal-Mart, hexagon shaped "crates" that connect and it has the look of a hive

I use the large Carson Dellosa bee cut-outs to label different things around my classroom

If you or anyone else has other ideas, I would love to see something new and different for my room!

I don't do classroom themes, but I always do some kind of hallway display for student work. One year I had "The Latest Buzz" .

bee theme

i got a lot of my ideas from a teachers website that posted on here. i tried looking for it, but no luck. it was probably about 5 years ago though! i only have one picture from my bee themed room, i'll attach it to this post.
it's of my job board: Hive Helpers
Behavior board: Good "Bee"havior had bee cutouts and sayings like be honest, be respectful and so on.
Welcome board: Look who's buzzing into 1st grade
I happened to find a really cute bee umbrella with wings that stuck up i hung it above my reading center. I had a little bench under it for students to sit on with pillows that my mom sewed for me, one said Bee Happy with little flowers and bees and another just had a big hive with bees. Wish I could find that picture! I also had two flower rugs in the reading center too.
I made a bee pointer and hive pointer with dowels and wooden accents found at a craft store.
Also had BEE binders (Bring Everything Everyday)
Also had King/Queen Bee
Website had super cute graphics of bees and bears from graphic garden
That's I can think of, hope it helps!

I would also suggest www.mrsmcdowell.com. She's used a bee theme for years, so she has lots of good ideas.

You can find some cute bee clip art at www.graphicgarden.com.

Bee the Best

Bee all you can Bee

We did a community theme... Ant communitys, Bee communitys, our own communitys. We used "Buzzing a Hive" from GEMS at Lawrence Hall of science (do a web search). THere are lots of great science activities, but posters in the teacher's guide. But also lots of cute student made bb stuff. For example, they make thier own bee's which are scientifically correct, but also flowers with 3-d parts. They role play bees and actually run around pollinating flowers with cotton balls, ECT.
