What are some sayings and ways to implement "stars" as a theme in my first grade classroom? I was thinking of doing the sun but maybe I could combine both. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I did space last year. Here's some things I had:

"Reach for the stARs" was my AR board
"Blasting off to First Grade" was my welcome board in the beginning of the year.
"Mission Control" was my job board, but for stars you could use something like "Mrs.___'s Class Stars"
My student work board was "Work that's out of this world"

Sunshine, Starshine, YOU shine!

STAR-taling work!

Star light, star bright, this paper's just right!

You put stars in my eyes!

"Star"ring

I did a Star of the Week bulletin board. I used yellow fabric as the background and black fabric pulled back as "curtains" . It was entitled Room 16 "Star"ring and each week a different student was spotlighted. For the 1st week of school, I spotlighted myself as an introduction. The students always enjoy it b/c they get to see pictures of me and my family and it gives them ideas of things they can bring in when it's their turn to be spotlighted. The parents also get a kick out of it at Back-to-School Night. On our classroom door, I used yellow stars and glued a picture of each student on them with glitter around the edges. On the door it read "Welcome to a Galaxy of Stars".
