Multiple Intelligence Survey
Old 07-30-2008, 07:39 PM

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Has anyone made a multiple intelligence survey for 2nd graders for the beginning of the school year. I want to teach my students about different ways they can be intelligent- from Howard Gardeners theory...and would like them to complete a survey. Everything I seem to find is geared to older students.

I JUST adapted one for 2nd graders!

I had to do this for a grad class! I JUST did it like 4 weeks ago!

Here it is! I did it with my kids- we went through it together. They had their own copies and I had an overhead copy.

It worked great and was very insightful!

It's great! Just wondering how you went about scoring it and determining the kid's 'preferred' intelligences?

I've used this one before, but maybe it's too hard for 2nd graders (I teach 6th).

She has more stuff about MI on her website

just scroll down until you see the Multiple Intelligence stuff. Besides this, you'll see LOTS of other good material on her website, I love it!

We call it Smarts

Here is my survey that I give. Then after we go over the results, the students fill out a Smarts page and we put them up for conferences. The kids copy some of the reasons that they believe they are that type of smart from the survey form.
