Let's Hear From You!

Become an active member of our community!  All teachers and other professionals working in grades PreK-12 are welcome to post. Retired teachers and student teachers are invited too! New teachers are especially welcome. We've got a lot of good advice and ideas to share with you. Ask us!

All of our boards are intended exclusively for professional teachers and staff (including classroom teachers, specialists, substitute teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals, and student teachers) in early childhood, elementary, middle and high school. We also welcome retired and former PreK-12 teachers with a continuing professional interest in teaching. Please spread the word to colleagues or friends who might be interested in joining.

Discover the fun and rewards of visiting online with some of the nicest teacher friends you'll find anywhere!

Quick Participation Tips

No introductions are necessary! Just find a topic that interests you and post a reply! Or, start a new topic. Questions are welcome!

When posting questions, be sure to post each question on only one board. Choose the board that best fits the specificity of your post. For example, if your post is only relevant to first grade teachers, then choose the First Grade Board. If your post instead applies to all primary teachers, then choose the Primary K-2 Board. Finally, if your post applies to all PreK-12 teachers, then choose the BusyBoard, VENT, etc.

Keep topics going by following up with additional comments or questions. Be sure to thank members who take the time to post helpful replies. Some members might ask you questions. By responding to their questions, you are starting a real conversation and making it more likely these members -and others- will reply to you next time.

Please remember that promoting one's own blog, website, book or product is strictly not permitted. Please report any visitor who is trying to take advantage of our friendly community by posting ads. All ads should be posted on the Advertisements board only.

The Teachers' Lounge board is not a place to post teaching related topics. We have many other boards or classroom / teaching concerns. Our Teachers' Lounge is where we relax and talk about other things.

Learn how to bookmark topics and clip interesting posts. See our ProTeacher help section for details

New Members may not have access to all features right away. In addition, we sometimes review new members' posts before they appear on the boards. Please be patient and understand that these precautions are necessary to protect the community.

You have just joined a great community! The more helpful you are, the more helpful others will be to you!
