Don't forget to follow the links on my main web page too. (Some maybe repeated here)

   sites to see:
   Teachers.Net

A great resource for teachers on the web. You can discuss reading philosophies or  swap ideas for how to handle restroom passes.  Many special interest chatboards (not live chat). Lesson plans and "special event chats"with authors and resource people.

  Classrooms That Work-Fourblocks

This site is maintained by Patricia Cunningham--Ideas for implementing the four blocks of balanced literacy: Self-selected Reading, Guided Reading,Guided Writing, Word Work (phonemic awareness). Ideas for activities and for making those activities multi-level.

  The Thinking Foundation

An excellent starting place for some components of your year long theme. Some themes developed and there is a chance for you to compile resources to add to the list!!

Science Whelmers

Some REALLY cool science lessons, experiments--real gee whiz stuff!

Web Trek

A set of "projects" that encourage use of the Internet as a resource.Great for ideas as you learn to use the 'net.

The Teacher's Tools

This site promotes Carson Dellosa products as well as a few other resources. It is a relatively new site. The site-owner likes to host contests and have other reasons to send out little freebies. Fun!

  Paper Projects

Oh my goodness! If you can do it with paper, it is here.  Crafts, activities, puzzles--enough to keep you and your students busy all year! I even printed off an "action toy cow." The rest of the site has some really good stuff also--much of it for the "technically interested"

The Puzzlemaker

This wonderful site lets you make word search and other puzzles easily.A little experimenting and you are off!  Don't miss this one!

I'm always looking so there is more to come...........
